I have read your article. Will this work through a fence or do you need to be able to point it at the dog directly? I see in the video that you're pointing it through trees and above a wire fence and upward onto a deck also surrounded by a small verandah fence.

Hi Julie Thank you for your question. The Dazer ultrasound does not pass through solid fences or closed windows. I find the easiest way to explain it is if you can throw a tennis ball at the dog the dazer will be effective. Yes, it works through the gaps in the trees and the deck railings as there is a clear line of sight albeit small. As you can tell from the video two quick goes gave us the silence to get on with our day. Happy to answer more questions Kind Regards Stephen

Does it work if I walk down the street and see an aggressive dog coming in my direction. My dog is a small terrier and often the target of larger dogs. What about my dog?

I would suggest you clip the dazer on your belt as you walk your dog so you can easily operate the device.

I understand it can be quite concerning when you are in the situation of having a small dog being approached by a larger aggressive dog. Being directional the sound beams from the dazer in a 30 degree conical shape so it is easy to aim over your own dog and effectively deter the approaching aggressive dog. It may also be useful to add a strong command to also deter the approaching dog.

Good luck and enjoy the walks with your dog.
